Kamo

Groove Cartel Interview: Kamo

How did your journey in the music industry start? Did you always know you wanted to be a musician or were there other plans as well?

Music was always there for me. I’m not sure if I wanted to be a musician from day 1 but it escalated quickly. On start it was like having fun with FL Studio, trying new things, testing other DAWs. And around 4 years ago I locked myself in my bedroom for almost 2 months (I was only producing and playing some video games) After that I started Kamo alias and produced my first original track.

Your latest release ‘Persia’ is a club-oriented thumper featuring a wicked Persian inspired Sounds. Did you have anything special in mind for that one?

Everything started from this ‘Persian’ synth on breakdown. I played one note with this synth and i knew this will be main theme of the song.

What can we expect from You (Kamo) in the next 12 months?

A lot of new music for sure! I think I have enough tracks to drop an album but I really want to deliver only top quality music.
I’m working also on side project where I’m producing experimental music so this will be busy year.

How do you constantly stay motivated and inspired to create such fresh and energetic tunes?

I’m spending most of my day on listening to fresh music. And not only EDM but all the genres, thats the key for me.
What about staying motivated? For me it’s very simple : If You’re doing something with passion and love You will be always motivated.
