Arias interview SIZE Records

Let’s Talk About Arias

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There are some producers, and some people in general, who keep doing things in their way, no matter what happens to the world around them. One of these is the French Arias, who just released ‘Elephant‘ on the prestigious SIZE Records after a period of musical silence. We had the chance to ask him a few questions, and here’s how he answered.

After his massive release on SIZE Records, we have interviewed Arias asking some questions regarding “Elephant,” his life and production work.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”Hello Arias, thanks for joining us. First up, what’s your name and where are you from?” open=”true”]Hey, my pleasure! So, my name is Julian and I’m from Paris![/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”How you approached to music production?” open=”true”]I started more than 12 years ago by playing with Music on PlayStation 1 haha! Do you remember this game? It was my first approach with a “DAW”.

[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”Who are the artists who influenced you the most?” open=”true”]That’s an interesting question! But to be honest I am going to tell you Daft Punk and Hans Zimmer. They are really from two different worlds but their creativity always amazes me.

[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”Which software and hardware stuff do you use? Do you have any preference?” open=”true”]I only use software. You can do a lot of amazing things. My DAW is Studio One and I love it![/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”I’m going to ask you the same question as I asked RavenKis: your style is purely progressive, a genre that, according to a lot of people, is decaying: what are your thoughts on this?” open=”true”]Yes, progressive house is almost dead but I like it, so I just make it. And I’ll keep on making it.

[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”Your new track “Elephant“ just came out on the prestigious SIZE Records: tell us a bit more about the track’s born and development.” open=”true”]Well, I produced this track 3 years ago and I played it for the first time at Electro Beach Music Festival, which is my favorite festival in France, in 2015. There is nothing really interesting about the development except the numbers of coffee I had to drink to finish it… You know this kind of moment when the inspiration is gone… I sent it to Steve Angello, he loved it and the track has been signed on Size within 24 hours. I am really proud of having ‘Elephant’ getting released on Size because it’s a label with a true identity.

[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”What is the track that you’re most proud of?” open=”true”]Actually, I’m quite proud of Elephant! I love the sounds, the vibe, the emotions in it. When I had the occasion to test it live and I saw the crowd reaction… I instantly knew that this track had a great potential.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”Which artists would you choose for your dream collab?” open=”true”]The one and only one Eric Prydz, definitely. Because through years he knew how to evolve without following any trend. And his music never stopped being amazing.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
