They seem more and more distant the time where techno music was mainly hard kicks, wide baselines, and dark percussions. Over the last years, even in the techno environment, melodies have become an important part of the records even creating a “new” genre. Soft melodic lines have started to climb the charts with an increasing number of people appreciating the genre but, sometimes, you can still find incredible gems without check the first 10 positions of the Beatport chart.

59 Perlen’s Sirocco is an example of the minimal techno melodic beauty. The track kicked off with a wide and deep baseline, moved by a catchy arpeggio and rolling percussions. A mesmerizing vocal flow through the theme moving until the first breakdown. At this point, an incredible dark harmonic perfectly blended with violin melodic lines and soft and charming beats. A violin player gives a soft and warm contrast to the overall very deep and dark feeling of this forth driving track.

Sirocco is the perfect tune for the sunset or sunrise; it really feels to be in some middle eastern town, with the sun going down the dune of the desert. An incredible tune that deserves a sping for sure.
