Spanish DJ/Producer ATICA drops ‘Talkbox’, an original retro vibing track on Laidback Luke’s imprint Mixmash Deep.
Over the years Mixmash has always delivered great records and unique songs and, today track is not far behind (a talkbox is used to create vocal effects like Daftpunk have used a lot) and ATICA combined this sound into a unique production. The record is, for sure, something out of common, with this groovy but super fresh vibes.
Talkbox and vocoders were always instruments that really got my attention. From Stevie Wonder to Daft Punk…some of my favorite artist used that sound a lot but i never did…With this track i wanted to bring that vibe as the main ingredient…and at the same time some scratch and funky arrangements to give to a bass house track a more organic feel. In this case i didn’t use samples as i normally do and i tried to recreate that 70s atmosphere…mostly at the intro with playing myself the bass and strings. Im very happy with the result and as always trying to bring some freshness to the game. Hope you like it! – ATICA
