BEC, a self-described “studio geek” with a bewildering breadth of abilities and knowledge, has produced demos and product videos for industry heavyweights Roland and Novation. She consequently very much has her own distinctive sound; her compositions are expertly weighted, nicely swung, and founded on intense drum beats. You need strong, all-consuming bass and the atmosphere of Berlin, where she currently resides, for her music to stand out. These similar characteristics will disqualify her from being signed to the BEC label.
