Kicking off with SAVED, GONE starts the EP slowly, with a precious beat and enigmatic melodic lines. The bubbling bassline perfectly merges with the soft and initiative vocal that opens up to an enigmatic arpeggio on the drop. The track takes an elegant and refined approach to create the complex set of rhythmic patterns found within SOURCES.
On a darker and more minimal note, PREMIER CONTACT introduces simple but effective plucked piano melodies and spirituals themes. Again the vocal brings the listener to a parallel universe where hypnotic soundscapes trace the way for the next tune, SPACE.
The main vibes become less oppressive but they keep that mysticism that marks them from the beginning. The beat and the bassline are simple but effective creating a feeling of hypnosis and peace you won’t find in the previous tracks.
Last but not least, GLORY closes up SOURCES EP. Packed with mystical and cryptic melodic lines the record lets everything flows away.
Dancing amongst genres and lightly acknowledging each, the EP stands as a testament to the synth-fuelled sounds and deep rolling basslines that drive many a listener into a vibrant haze. Organic fuelled electronica at its finest, SOURCES leaves the listener eager to hear more from the rising DJ.
