Up and coming DJ and producer Jonas Weil presents his second EP and first release in 2021 Eternal. Exploring the dark and deep techno sounds, the EP includes Ziz, Behemoth, and Leviathan.
Built around three mythological creatures, from which the three tunes take the name, Eternal EP is a full journey between dark and mysterious vibes, interspersed by relaxing and deep moments of quiet.
The EP kicks off with Ziz, a gigantic bird that is so big it is able to darken the sun with its wings in Jewish mythology. It represents the element air in the mythological triangle of Water, Ground & Air. You can feel its aura from the top melodic synth perfectly balanced with the dark and huge melodic arrangements.
The track’s purpose is to mimic the creature’s colossal but also air-based character through a wide, airy sound with a solid base. – Jonas Weil
When Behemoth kicks the brass sounds are the masters; they’re combined with a tribal drum pattern to create the imagination of a heavy walking colossus. Last but not least, Leviathan transforms the iconic creature into notes; its acoustic interpretation is adapted to a deadly reptile lurking in the darkness of the deep sea, waiting for its prey. You can almost feel the hypnotic movements, prepared to kill within in a single movement.
