Let’s talk about Alex Manfuso [Interview]

Here we are with another interview. This time we had the pleasure to speak with Alex Manfuso, a very talented artist from Italy.

At the end of the article there are some track from Alex!

Hi Alex, let’s talk about yourself. Why did you decide to produce music and how long you do it?

Actually it all came in naturally. I was 15 and a Tiesto fan, he was still a trance DJ, and I loved the fact that he could make so many people enjoy with his music and his shows. That was the main reason I started to Dj. Then when I was like 22 or 23 I started to produce my music, simply because I wanted to see people dance to my music and be different from the other dj’s in my hometown, Florence.

What is your track that makes you most proud?

All of them and none of them. I know I can always improve, so I know that every track made me learn something, but I know that my next track will be better.

We have listened your upcoming track on MODE Music. Let’s talk about the track. We love the rhythm on the break with that voice sample and the drop is very energetic!

Party Starter was made by accident, I was working on another track and I was making some sound design.
Then this sound came up because I made some changes to the pitch on the synth. So this “scratchy – vinyl” sound came out and I thought “I want to make a track out of it”, so I imagined a Dj, in the 80’s or 90’s who was scratching a 70’s track. And this is how Party Starter was born.

Personally I have known you from your first release in MODE Music, Babylon System, a very fresh and unique sound. How do you have found out this specific style, because all your release follow this type of sound we really like?

Thanks! I’m a Dj since I was 16/17 years old, so when I make a track I always try to imagine what could work on a dance floor. About the sounds, I guess it’s all about my background and my tastes.

What’s your plan for the future?

Making music for the love of making music. I now have 8/9 tracks ready, I’m working on some different projects. Me and Iyoas, my manager, are planning the next releases, so everything is moving,

Would you give some advice to those who are now started in the world of music production?

Make it for fun, enjoy making it, do it for the right reasons. Eventually music will speak for itself

We want to thanks Alex from the bottom of our heart for taking his time to answer our questions.
Here it is all Alex’s social, so don’t forget to follow him everywhere!
