Matthew Sax revisits iconic Praise Cats ‘Shined on Me’

Matthew Sax

DJ, producer, and live performer Matthew Sax just presented his revisited version of the legendary house music classic Shined on Me by Praise Cats.

Over the years a lot of songs have received the title of “house music classic” and we can safely say that Praise Cats’ Shined on Me is one of them. Released in 2002 the tune surpassed the 50th position of the weekly radio charts in Belgium, France, and Italy. The iconic vocal and the catchy vibes have made dance a generation of clubbers and multiple versions, remixes, edits, and bootlegs have been released since then.

This Friday, Matthew Sax released his own spin of the iconic tune; keeping unaltered the iconic vocal, Mr. Sax added his iconic sax-signature sound on the tune, refreshing the percussive rhythm and the beat as well. The drop is infused with a catchy and rolling bassline paired with a feeling-good house main theme. Definitely, a summer-ready hit we are sure to hear on the seaside while enjoying our drinks at the sunset.

Despite being in the industry for years, Matthew Sax’s project is relatively new; launched this year in March, he dropped his first single Saxgo via Keep early this year. He recently signed with Kaleido Music Agency, one of the most respected agencies in Italy.

Matthew Sax’s Shined on Me is out now worldwide; you can now stream and download the tune here or below.
