With the new single Ways To Heaven, Nicky Romero returns as his underground alter ego Monocule, this time collaborating with rising Italian talent Jamis and British singer/songwriter/pianist Michael G. Moore.
The track begins with a soulful vocal line before quickly transitioning to a driving, deep bassline that has become a trademark of Monocule’s sound. The result is a stunning and cinematic sonic journey through the spectrum of dark progressive house music, an emotive and yet dancefloor-friendly sound that serves as a quick follow-up to Monocule’s recent EP “Monocule Volume 2.”
Jamis has previously released music on Armada Records, Revealed Records, Smash The House Records, and Mixmash Records. On the other hand, we have Michael G. Moore, a composer, and pianist with a Brit-rock voice who has previously worked with Adam Lambert, Becky Hill, Dean Lewis, and Ray Quinn.
Launched back in 2020, Monocule is the brand new Nicky Romero’s alias where the artist can focus his sound exploration into the deep and darker side of electronic music. Having released already two 3-track EPs and a series of singles, including the latest You Don’t Know that has now overcome 1M streams on Spotify alone, the Monocule project aims to fill the gap between techno and progressive house music with a blend of both worlds.
