After an incredible start of 2022, Netherland-based DJ and producer Precursor presents the 2-track EP, Evergreen / Extracellular Matrix.
Precursor’s new single is about the growing concern about climate change. Trees with evergreen status are nature’s best response to rising emissions. They are green all year, absorbing greenhouse gases and providing fresh air to the earth. Ironically, Evergreen is also one of the world’s largest shipping companies, raising the question of how we deal with our environment.
The duality of our relationship with nature is audible in Precursor’s new single “Evergreen,” in which two beautiful melody lines intertwine and evolve over time. His signature at the break, with a hefty modular sequence and a dramatic drop, scored with a beautiful violin line.
On the B-side Extracellular Matrix is a cinematic journey characterized by dreamy harmonies and mysterious arpeggio packed together into 3 minutes and a half of progressive crescendo.
