In fact, as things stand, a slew of events are set to take place at the SoFi stadium in the final stretch of 2022, some of which will feature big musical and sporting acts. So without further ado, here are some of the long-awaited performances set to take place at the SoFi stadium before the end of the year;
The Stadium Tour
If you have come across ads centered around SoFi bank account sign up then you’re probably familiar with SoFi, the financial services company that owns the naming rights to the stadium renowned for hosting the Super Bowl LVl on 13 February 2022.
SoFi stadium will officially launch its doors to musical performances with the Stadium Tour set to hold on 27 August. Two rock bands will perform together at the collaborative event – American rock band Motley Crue and the British rock band Def Leppard.
Other bands, including Poison, Joan Jett, and Blackhearts, will make special appearances with The Classless Act band slated to kick off the tour.
The Weeknd After Hours Till Dawn Tour
One of the most anticipated events at Los Angeles’ SoFi stadium this year is undoubtedly the Weekend‘s After Hours Till Dawn Tour. The Canadian sensation is poised to dazzle fans in California with sublime musical performances on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2022.
The singer and songwriter will be headlining the two-day show, and fans can expect his typically thrilling performances. Also, the Weeknd has teased appearances from known associated acts, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, and Future, which are just some of the rumored guest appearances.
Bad Bunny World’s Hottest Tour
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny and his World’s Hottest Tour will arrive in Los Angeles on 30 September 2022.
Fans have been anticipating the opportunity to hear the rapper live as he performs some of his biggest hits from his recent album, ‘Un Verano Sin Ti,’ as well as his classics such as ‘La Ramona,’ ‘Solo De Mi,’ and ‘Safaera.’
Organizers and promoters have already announced that the event will feature special guest performances from world-renowned DJ Diplo. Still, fans can expect more surprises with major rumors indicating a Cardi B appearance.
NFL Games
A host of NFL games will take place at the SoFi Stadium this year. Aside from playing host to the 2022 Super Bowl, the SoFi stadium is home to Los Angeles-based NFL teams, the Rams and the Chargers.
On 19 August, the NFL champions, LA Rams, will take to the field at the SoFi stadium as they battle the Houston Texans in a keenly-anticipated pre-season game. Their counterparts, the LA Chargers, will also tackle a Texas-based team in the form of the Dallas Cowboys. The match-up will take place on the 20 August.
The 2022 NFL season will officially begin on 8 September with the kickoff game between defending champions, LA Rams and the Buffalo Bills. The Chargers will kick off their 2022 NFL campaign in a game against the Las Vegas Raiders in what will be the latest installment of their fiercely contested rivalry three days later.
