The renewed VOID Records releases its first single ‘Inferno’
We already anticipated the first release of the renewed VOID Recordslast week, but now it’s official. “Inferno” by Storgards has been released as VOID027, and it marks the beginning of a new path for the label founded by Wayne & Woods.
“Inferno” is a combination of funky and progressive vibes, which are Storgards’ trademarks.
We also had a chat with Jonas Dyrsmeds, part of the new VOID Records team, about the label and his future.
What can you tell us about the new Void Records team?
The new team is actually a mix between some of the old members and some new friends that decided to be a part of this new journey. Different creative persons from different origins creates the new team together.
What brought you to revive a label that appeared to be dead?
We never agreed 100% on what Void was before so we decided to take some time off and think for a while. Just pause the label until we had figured it all out. Regroup and invite some new friends to join the team.
We have spent some time at different inspiring places together to discuss what and who we are. And now it’s the time to press play again. We are back with a new mindset and want to show you all what we’ve been up to for so long.
What can we expect from the renewed Void Recs (not only in terms of music)?
VOID is all about feelings and expressions in different ways. The relaunch will involve the family in more than before. We are all in this together and the label isn’t anything without the fans.
Different events like showcases, sessions, label nights, contests will involve the family and make VOID more of an open platform than a record label. And of course, there will be a lot more music released!
We are glad to welcome back VOID, and we hope to see their projects come true as soon as possible.
