Gabriel Legeleux, as known as Superpoze is a Paris-based producer and composer. After a long absence in 2020 and 2021, he’s back at the beginning of this year with Parabel. The tune is the first single extracted from his upcoming album which will be out the next March.
Parabel is an entirely instrumental piece that brings together Legeleux’s greatest musical passions: piano romanticism, movie soundtrack emotion, and electronic music’s repetitive patterns and progressive structures.
The tune is also paired with a music video directed by Marc de Pierrefeu, who will be creating a series for the entire album.
When you’re a musician, you’re sometimes scared by your own music. To find some peace of mind, you’re tempted to make it sound like other kinds of music you like. Gabriel Legeleux, a musician who studied classical percussion at the conservatoire, is also a co-producer of albums for Lomepal and Alex Beaupain, as well as a film-score composer.
I love records that are an overall work. There’s the idea of making coherent albums and finding a balance, not only for the individual tracks, but for the album itself. What interests me is the consistency and radicalism of records. People come to me looking for a sensibility they hear in my own music.
