The Sound of Zulu Records and their 2019 housy beats

Established in 2012, Zulu has become a force to be reckoned with in the global house music scene.

Zulu Records 2019

Run by My Digital Enemy, Zulu has celebrated its 5th year in the business with a rebrand but keeping intact the main house music soul. But, that’s not all; on May the 15th the label will drop the ‘5 Years of Zulu Records’ compilation.

Firing on all cylinders in 2019, MDE’s house imprint, Zulu Records, are certainly showing no signs of slowing down. in the last months, they’ve released tons of incredible releases so, we’ve decided to collect them under this new heading called “The Sound of.”

Luca Debonaire – Religion

A Zulu favorite for us it’s Luca Debonaire’s ‘Religion’. Drawing on old school Dutch techno & Speed Garage influences this is not for the faint-hearted. Equally at home in a jacking house or main room set, this is one track that will make you dance.

Zulu Records Miami 2019

When March kicks off, everyone in the music industry has only one thing in their mind: Miami. And this was for Zulu with its Miami compilation. Featuring 15 records from house to funky/groove, Zulu Miami 2019 is the perfect soundtrack for your festival season. Non-stop rolling percussions, melodic piano vibes, clean bassline and a lot of grooves will put you in the right mood in no time.

Part of the Miami 2019 compilation but released earlier, we suggest to check Warrior Grooves Feat Errol Reid ‘Everytime I See Her (No Requests Remix)’. The result is a main room melodic tech bomb that totally contrasts with the vibe of the original. Deeply textured synths combine with euphoric chord progressions to take you on a really epic journey.

Block & Crown and Axa – Check This!

Released only 20 days ago, ‘Check This!’ is an applicable party-starter for both the big room and the intimacy of the underground. It has already garnered huge support from the likes of Mark Knight, Kryder, MDE, Futuristic Polar Bears, Thomas Gold, and Sam Divine. A menacing groover armed with clattering percussion throughout, ‘Check This!’ is a relentless house slammer charged up with looped vocals and a roaring synth line formulating a stellar recipe for any dancefloor.

Spendogg – Spendogg EP

Available next Monday, the 22nd, Spendogg is a two-track EP full of jacking feel-good vibes. ‘Dancing Together’ is first up with its euphoric house piano and vocal hooks.
Enough‘ continues the uplifting sounds with summer infused breakdowns and a slamming groove.
