Uri Allgood presents Date Night Sushi

Lots Of Practice label welcomes Uri Allgood for his debut 2-track EP on the imprint, Date Night Sushi / Quaranteen Spirit.

Lots Of Practice has been pushed through a lot over the last several years, and with Date Night Sushi, Uri Allgood makes a conscious effort to search within while simultaneously creating a healing potion that permeates the dance floor.

He considers the reality that dance music doesn’t necessarily have to be pleasant or joyful, and frequently, the most cathartic tracks aren’t, on this project. Uri found something euphoric in delving deeper into the darker emotions he was experiencing while creating both tracks, with the intention that it will give the same form of euphoria for the listener whether they are using headphones or are in a club.

The lead single, “Date Night Sushi,” transports you to a setting that is both familiar and fresh at the same time. soaring like the butterflies inside of me. Brilliantly placed pads and melodies are interspersed among the powerful, bouncing breaks. This one radiates an obvious warmth that lasts all the way to the end.

In “Quaranteen Spirit,” ambient electronica converges with progressive transcendental beats and acid piano for a track brimming with unbridled passion. Over this reflective sound, manipulated vocals pan and swirl, appearing to cross numerous genres and escaping its welcoming boundaries.

It’s all about the atmosphere for Uri. It has feelings. His tracks groove like gloomy moods covered in glitter rather than pounding the dance floor all night like peak time tracks. His melodies uplift souls like the heyday of Paradise house, and his rhythms and low end hit you right in the belly. The music of Uri transports you to the past and the future at the same time and exudes his contagious personality. Ready to go on the journey?
