Ukraine music duo Wavewalkrs presents a downtempo electronic new single Dying World.
Today we want to go deep and intimate, with a tune that’s a bit different from the track we’re used to talk about. Dying World kicks off with a very quiet and relaxing melody, driven by the incredible vocal of the duo. The downtempo beat, with this go-and-stop feeling, perfectly collide with the other elements of the track creating an incredible mix of sounds. The duo mixed live music with digital production in the studio resulting in a boundless live production blend that is both beautiful to listen to and interesting to watch.
This song came about at a time when the home country of the artists is going through one of the most violent and destructive periods. War, civil unrest and political corruption reign in this “dying world”. This song is an attempt to reach out to the human race and ignite empathy and care for the world we live in. – Wavewalkrs
Despite only having been around for less than a year, electronic production duo Wavewalkrs have kept busy. Their first releases #truthlies and whatislove have accumulated hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and a promising collaboration with emerging artist AKINE (Best Laid Plans Records) is in the works. And that’s not all. Having just come off the incredible experience of touring with Bastille (sharing the stage with friend AKINE), and with new music lined up for a spring release, it’s an exciting time of growth and transformation.
Seeing them on stage you would think that Nikita and Yura of the Wavewalkrs have been playing together for years but despite growing up in the same town, the boys were only properly introduced when they came to Kyiv to pursue a common dream- creating music.
