Agents Of Time return on Afterlife with ‘Midnight Drive In Santiago EP’

The duo showcases their production prowess with four tracks that demonstrate their ability to tap into your emotional center with varying styles.

Italian duo, Agents Of Time, returns after two years on Tale Of Us’s imprint Afterlife with 4-track EP Midnight Drive In Santiago.

Having debuted in 2018 on Afterlife with Forest of Lies EP, with the title track Dream Vision now at 1.2+ million plays on Spotify, the duo has also joined Tale Of Us on Realm Of Consciousness III and IV. A permanent member of the Afterlife’s roster, Agent of Times appeared also on Adriatique’s Nude Remix album as well as on the latest Unity compilation released this summer.

If you have loved Forest of Lies you will love this new EP as well. Familiar and well-known sounds collide with a fresh reinterpretation of the melodic techno genre, adding the unmistakable touch the duo is famous for. Known for their distinct, synth-driven take on electronic music, the duo showcases their production prowess with four tracks that demonstrate their ability to tap into your emotional center with varying styles.

Kicking off with Santiago, the opener of the EP retraces the path started with Forest of Lies refreshing the main synth. Fusing melodramatic sounds with sensational notes Santiago opens up in a monumental and solemn breakdown. The mesmerizing melodic riff and bright layered synth work do the rest completing a track that points directly to your soul.

Midnight Drive takes us for a meandering moonlit spin in a shiny black Chevrolet Corvette. The dark and mysterious long lines collide with the raw and industrial percussive ryhtyhm finally reaching the peak point once the main magic synth kicks in.

Moving in the darkest and underground clubs of Santiago, Chain Reaction features hypnotic and soothing arpeggio filled with no-stop percussive rhythm and narcotic beats. With the use of an insistent flow and emotive pads, the track aims to magnetize you and draw your emotions to the surface.

Finally, the first lights of new dawn peek out on the horizon with Out of Format that invites us to explore the dark, mysterious corners of the universe as we embark on a whimsical cosmic journey beyond the stars. A record built between universes, with its plucked melodic harmonies and futuristic non-stop loops.

The Midnight Drive In Santiago EP could be considered the natural evolution of Forest of Lies; bringing together solid melodic elements with more refined sounds, polished themes, and elegant percussions, Agent Of Time’s Midnight Drive In Santiago EP is another exciting release on Afterlife.
