[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Last weekend, Alesso has joined EDC Orlando opening with a new ID, ‘Drifter’. The track, as well as the title, are work in progress.
Last weekend, the 9th and 10th of November in Orlando took place the famous Electric Daisy Carnival. As every EDC, the line-up was very varied with names such as Paco Osuna, Pendulum, Illenium, Tchami, Tiesto and more. On Friday, Alesso took over the kinectFIELD delivering an hour-long DJ-Set. Besides his planetary hits as ‘Calling’ or ‘Take My Breathe Away,’ he played a couple of new songs.
First of all, the Intro was a new tune by Alesso himself. Renamed ‘Drifter’ by the fans (the title is still W.I.P.), the ID was firstly played at Electric Zoo last September. In all the previous occasion, ‘Drifter’ was played as Intro ID. At the moment there is no clean HQ version but, we can still hear it thanks to the live recording from the dancefloor.
Alesso’s ‘Drifter’ ID sounds very clean with powerful kicks and a very interesting top melody. The up-and-down feeling that the melody delivers is very addictive. Despite the low-quality audio now available and the not so excited reaction of the crowd, the record sounds very fresh. The electrified breakdown filled with uplifting melodies is very promising.
Besides the ‘Drifter’ ID, Alesso played a very cool progressive-driven set at EDC Orlando. From his old classic to brand new mashups, a certain point he went underground with ‘Cafe Del Mar’ in the Tale Of Us Remix.
