Eagles and Butterflies drops remix of Bob Moses ‘Love Brand New’

The renowned producer gives the Grammy-winning duo's contemporary classic his own special spin.

Eagles and Butterflies Bob Moses

Reputable producer Eagles & Butterflies is back with a brand-new remix for the popular tune “Love Brand New” by Bob Moses from 2022.

Eagles and Butterflies’s remix of Love Brand New

Using his signature retro synths, evocative textures, and inventive percussion, Eagles and Butterflies gives the contemporary classic “Love Brand New” a fresh new lease on life. The remix maintains the booming, industrial feel of the original Bob Moses track while enhancing it with thrilling new layers that are suited for the dance floor.

The remix follows Eagles and Butterflies’ previous reworking of RY X’s “Dark Room Dancing” and his most recent EP, Retropolis, which was released in late 2017 on Gerd Jason’s venerable label Running Back. With more releases this year, Eagles and Butterflies has a long-standing association with the label.

The artist: Eagles and Butterflies

Chris Barratt’s music as Eagles & Butterflies can be as jovial as it is melancholy and beautiful. It is known for the unmistakable “Can’t Stop” with Coloray, an unhealthy obsession with vintage music machines, a baroque style in the use of synthesizer melodies, and a forewarn-looking approach to the past. He is an artist who is renowned for persistently pushing the aural limits while defying genre and exhibiting inherent creative aptitude.

An inherent sense of melody and a distinctive approach to music creation have been at the center of his career, from his early days as Mixmag’s “Breakthrough Act of the Year” to the founding of his own label Art Imitating Life. His work has appeared on some of the most prestigious dance music labels, such as Permanent Vacation, Innervisions, and Life & Death, during the course of his illustrious career. In terms of DJing, he has performed frequently at Fabric, at renowned festivals such as Awakenings, Lost Village, and Coachella, as well as at the DC10 superclub in Ibiza.

Eagles and Butterflies, who has been on a roll lately, confirm with “Love Brand New” that he is a master of his trade and one of the most distinctive musicians working today.
