Chris Lake, a chart-topping artist who has been nominated for a Grammy, and Aluna, a celebrated singer-songwriter, collaborate on the catchy new single “Beggin,” which was released today via Black Book Records/Astralwerks. Aluna sings, “I’ll get you beggin beggin” with her playful yet seductive tones, and Lake’s breezy production echoes her cheeky tone, punctuating a steady pace with vibrant sonic surprises. Co-written by Lake and Aluna, “Beggin'” was recorded at his Black Book Studios.

“‘Beggin’ is a tale of caution,” says Chris Lake. “There are times when you want someone so badly that after you have them, you wish you had never seen them…sort of like me“. Aluna, who will start a headline tour of the UK and Europe on April 22, continues, “I’m a lot. This year, she will also perform at festivals in North America such Breakaway North Carolina, Hangout, and Sundown Solstice.

Chris Lake to return at Coachella

On April 23, Chris Lake will perform at Coachella. Following the release of “In The Yuma” (Ft. Aatig), he returned to the event. According to Billboard, who praised the song, “‘In The Yuma’ is a beautiful bit of rhythmic meditation, where the modern tech house icon successfully channeled the energy of his Coachella 2019 performance (in the festival’s Yuma tent, get it?) and recreated that sweaty, funky get-down into a lively tune that fits on futuristic dance floors around the world.” On May 5 and 6, 2023—the venue’s launch weekend—Lake and Black Book Records will take over two stages at Brooklyn Mirage.
