DJ, producer, goodhearted person, and the mystery that is Claptone launches his own label, Golden Recordings, with the inaugural single ‘Euphoria’ out on March 17th.

I created Golden Recordings to celebrate House Music and its everlasting golden era. To revel in its strong roots as well as its diversity and open mindedness, which bring forth new sounds and flavors every day. May it continue for another eternity in this and at least 3294 other parallel universes. – Claptone

Golden Recordings makes a strong first impression with the tune “Euphoria,” which has Claptone fixing a vintage keyboard riff to an infectious house groove. True to the club scene focus of the new label, the track is a ready-made crowd-pleaser, replete with intricate percussion, long snare build-ups, and huge bass-heavy drops.

With all the great songs I have released recently and all the vocal-heavy productions out there today, I felt it was time to produce a straight up, fully instrumental club track, to start off my new label Golden Recordings properly. You could say I wanted to let the music speak for itself, and sonically evoke a feeling of intense excitement and pure bliss. It’s highly contagious, but luckily it’s ‘Euphoria – Claptone

Claptone before Euphoria and Golden Recordings

Claptone has dropped 3 artist albums ‘Charmer’ (2015), ‘Fantast’ (2019), and ‘Closer’ ‘2022’ during the previous 8 years with singles like ‘No Eyes’, ‘Heartbeat’, ‘Under The Moon’, ‘Queen of Ice’ and ‘Just A Ghost’. His upbeat and vocal-heavy kind of house music has become well-known for his remix work, notably his remake of Gregory Porter’s “Liquid Spirit.” His YouTube videos have received millions of views, and his Spotify playlist presently has over four million monthly listeners. He has remixed songs by famous artists like Elton John, Dua Lipa, Gorillaz, Mark Ronson, Depeche Mode, Ava Max, Rufus du Sol, Michael Kiwanuka, Rag’n’Bone Man, New Order, and more in recent times.

The Venetian mask-wearing producer also introduced the immersive and otherworldly “The Masquerade” events in 2017. Among the notable guests who joined the fun were Fatboy Slim, MK, Purple Disco Machine, James Hype, Vintage Culture, Armand Van Helden, John Summit, Meduza, Faithless, Nora En Pure, and Pete Tong.

With the launch of his own record label, Claptone is expanding his immense sphere of influence. If Golden Recordings’ debut single, “Euphoria,” is any indication, the label stands to unleash some of the biggest dance anthems in the house genre.
