The world-famous music and arts festival Coachella has announced that this year’s event will feature a livestream of all stages via YouTube. With six feeds available for viewers to choose from, the experience promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Bringing the Front Row Experience to the Fans

Coachella and YouTube have teamed up to bring the festival experience to fans around the world. Last year, YouTube launched several festival-firsts, including Shorts and Creator activations, a new YouTube Shopping integration, Live Chat in action, and YouTube Premium pre-parties. This year, they wanted to bring the front-row experience back and go even bigger.

The weekend one livestream gets rolling at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET on Friday, April 14th and runs through Sunday night, April 16th. Weekend two kicks back into gear the following Friday, April 21st through Sunday, April 23rd.

YouTube Shorts Participation and Exclusive Merch Drops

Fans will have the opportunity to participate in the Coachella experience and interact with their favorite artists on YouTube Shorts. They can help build setlists for artists such as Calvin Harris, Becky G, and Burna Boy. Additionally, fans can show BLACKPINK how they’re getting ready for their first-ever headlining performance. YouTube Shorts will also feature exclusive content from artists and creators such as Alan Chikin Chow, Lexi Hensler, BENOFTHEWEEK, and Amelia DiMoldenberg of Chicken Shop Date.

Furthermore, this year’s festival will feature exclusive merchandise drops from over a dozen artists. All items will be available for purchase directly on the livestream and through YouTube Shorts on Coachella’s channel via YouTube Shopping.

YouTube Premium Pre-Parties

YouTube Premium subscribers will have access to exclusive pre-parties featuring some of the festival’s most exhilarating artists. These pre-parties will offer fans a glimpse into the artists’ worlds before they hit the stage.

Watch Music History in the Making

No matter where you are in the world, you have the chance to be a part of this year’s Coachella history by catching the show from your smartphone, living room, computer, or car on Coachella’s YouTube Channel or within the YouTube Music app.

The festival will share the latest and greatest shorts, backstage photos, and more all weekend long, live from the festival grounds across YouTube Music’s social channels. To stay up to date, be sure to follow @YouTubeMusic on Instagram and Twitter.

This year’s Coachella promises to be an unforgettable experience for music and art lovers around the world. With a livestream of all stages available via YouTube, viewers can watch history in the making from the comfort of their own homes. The festival will feature exclusive merchandise drops, YouTube Shorts participation, and YouTube Premium pre-parties. Get ready to tune in and experience the magic of Coachella!
