The festival’s venue.

The production credentials of Brooklyn Mirage, Cityfox and Pollen Presents need no introduction; as fans heading to Playa del Carmen in January can expect to discover a newly designed Mirage in the Mayan Riviera sunshine. This venue, along with two additional new venue space build outs, will be custom designed and built for those attending DEPARTURE, making it a one-of-a-kind and exclusive experience for all in attendance.

Throughout DEPARTURE’s five mystical days, attendees will be treated to more than 12 hours of marathon musical madness on five stages. Onlookers will be spellbound and slack-jawed as they spend their days and nights grooving to rare pairings of underground purveyors, experiencing truly unique moments that will last a lifetime. There are endless possibilities for musical magic and one-of-a-kind on-stage collaborations.

All of this will take place in a string of luxury hotels, including The Grand Hyatt, The Thompson, The Hilton, Panama Jack, and Yucatan Resort, all of which will serve gourmet food and beverages. The unique experience eschews larger crowds for something far more intimate, combining the stress-free environment of high-end travel with the thrill and adventure of a one-of-a-kind festival.

Attendees will be escorted from their hotels to DEPARTURE’S exquisite venues, which will be completely closed off to the public for the ultimate in intimacy. The entire strip of Playa del Carmen beach and hotels will transform into DEPARTURE’s exclusive, saturnalia, complete with custom-built stages and poolside day soirees.

Activities besides dancing and partying.

Aside from the music, visitors to Mexico can rejuvenate each morning with daily yoga and meditation at the beachfront Grand Hyatt, swim laps in each of the hotels’ pools, and dine their way through the gourmet food options. Daily excursions, including cenote trips, boat parties, scuba diving, jet-skiing, hiking in ruins, and more, are available for purchase.

The bright yellow sand and azure sea of Playa del Carmen, perched on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, make it an ideal winter sun destination. Guests will have five different hotel options within a short drive of Cancun International Airport, with options for all budgets.
