Albania KALA Festival

Albania’s Kala festival announces 2023 edition

The original Albanian festival returns to the sun-drenched beaches of the Riviera with an eclectic selection of DJs and live acts including Nu Genea, Marcellus Pittman, CC:DISCO!, Mafalda and very special 5hr B2B sets from Hunee & Antal and Moxie & Leon Vynehall

In 2018, Kala swept the European festival circuit by offering a dreamy blend of beach vacation and music festival, earning it a reputation as the new dance paradise and elevating Albania as a festival hotspot without a tent in sight. In order to continue providing a full week of excellent music, enjoyable beach days, and a warm festival atmosphere on the sun-drenched beaches of the Albanian Riviera, Kala will be holding its fourth event from June 31 through June 7.

The festival program is designed to leave time for revelry, relaxation, and exploration of the breathtaking surroundings. From action-packed holiday fun to unusually extended sets by favorite DJs, to sun-drenched beach days and icy cocktails, Kala has something to offer everyone. All tickets include lodging, which can be found in everything from cozy beach huts to opulent 5* hotels, all for a reasonable price. At the current tier, tickets for a seven-day stay that includes lodging and a festival wristband start at a very reasonable £269 / 310€ per person. The next round of tickets will be released on Tuesday 29th November for those who sign up to the ticket waiting list.

Kala will once again offer plenty of action off the dancefloor to complement the pleasantly unhurried musical selection, with a schedule of boat excursions, wellness workshops, and enjoyable holiday activities.

In a fast-changing festival landscape, Kala offers a new way of experiencing a summer festival, pairing a beach holiday at an exciting offbeat destination, an intimate and friendly festival atmosphere, and a curation that sets it apart from its peers with a healthy amount of live music, extended 5h sets by the headline DJs, and an eclectic yet coherent selection of talent across decades and genres. – Juan Lopez, Marketing Manager of Kala

The best DJs on the bill are invited to play extended sets, with Hunee & Antal and Moxie & Leon Vynehall taking up two of the five all-night slots in order to place an emphasis on quality over quantity. Other top-rated sectors booked to play at Kala’s beachside stages include Marcellus Pittman, CC:DISCO!, Prins Thomas, Paula Tape, Yu Su, Secretsundaze, and Maurice Fulton who will bring their signature eclectic selections, while the likes of Lena Willikens, Vladimir Ivkovic and Ciel will cover harder sounds.

Festival’s activities and surroundings

The iconic Gjipe stage, which is located at the mouth of a striking canyon and is only reachable by boat, will be soundtracked by Brian Not Brian, Jan Schulte, Jamie Tiller, John Gómez, Lauren Hansom, and Nick The Record.

With yoga classes, meditation, gong baths, and beach massages available to calm the mind and ease sore muscles from dancing, wellness plays a big part at Kala. For those who would rather enjoy the festival site’s crystal-clear waters, kayaking, pedal boats, paddle boarding, and snorkelling will also be an option.

Throughout the week, a variety of on-site restaurants and bars will keep festival attendees fueled with a variety of delectable Mediterranean cuisine, including plenty of mouthwatering locally sourced vegetables and fresh seafood.

All tickets come with lodging and a wristband for the festival. Numerous accommodations are offered, ranging from luxurious 5* hotels to exotic beach huts, and the majority are accessible by foot from the festival site. Having a comfy bed to rest in is one of the aspects that makes Kala different from other festival experiences.
