Fred Again once more demonstrates his musical talent in a unique performance on NPR‘s Tiny Desk Concerts, which debuted today.

Tiny Desk Concerts welcome Fred Again

The intimate live session sees the British artist presenting a sonically inventive and ultimately deeply moving performance that features highlights from all three of his Actual Life albums such as “Kyle (i found you),” “Roze (forgive),” “Adam (interlude),” “Me (heavy),” “Berwyn (interlude),” “Delilah (pull me out of this)” and “Faisal (envelops me),” with sampled artists including Guante, I Am Roze (they/them), Amine, Delilah Montagu, Berwyn, and Faisal. Using his own vocals, marimba, vibraphone, piano, and his legendary machine, Fred Again again demonstrates his unmistakable musicality and capacity to move listeners with his compositions and performances.

Fred again..: Tiny Desk Concert

Three critically acclaimed albums from the prolific London artist’s Actual Life series have been released so far in his brief career, and both fans and critics like them. When he for the first time turned his three critically acclaimed Actual Life LPs into an immersive, shared experience, Fred Again became one of the year’s most talked-about live acts in 2017. All three Actual Life albums are now available as a repress after the vinyl editions of each album were quickly sold out upon release.

The popular London musician was awarded one of Mixmag’s “Best 10 Live Acts Of 2022” for the second consecutive year after performances sold out across the UK and the USA (including three sold-out nights at NY’s Terminal 5 and three sold-out nights at LA’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery). Fred continued his upwards trajectory with the unstoppable viral success of his blockbuster Boiler Room session, which has to date surpassed 16M streams, overtaking the numbers seen by such superstars as Disclosure, Richie Hawtin, Skream, and Fatboy Slim in only four short weeks.

Baby Again and Skrillex, Fred and Four Tet at Madison Square Garden

The release of “Baby again..,” a stunning new collaboration with Skrillex and Four Tet, has just made this year seems to be a banner one for Fred again. The group celebrated “Baby again” with a stunning array of pop-up performances throughout New York City, including a Valentine’s Day rave at Brooklyn’s Good Room, an intimate performance at Le Poisson Rouge, and a live performance on a school bus for The Lot Radio that shut down Times Square completely. With a five-hour, historic performance at New York City’s renowned Madison Square Garden, Skrillex, Fred Again and Four Tet further strengthened the city’s bonds. The concert had sold out within minutes of its announcement just three days before. At MSG, “Baby again” offered a genuinely classic moment as the first full house lights went down.

Again, Fred is presently touring the globe as part of an incredible live itinerary that includes headlining festival appearances at Glastonbury in the UK, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Madrid, and Porto, and Montreal, Quebec’s Osheaga Festival Musique et Arts.
