Toolroom is getting ready to reveal the highly anticipated return of legendary Glaswegian musician KC Lights. He is delivering yet another classic tune in the making, titled “Better Times,” and it features the stunning voice of Låpsley, who hails from Merseyside. The release is intended to coincide with the beginning of the Summer season. This is the first time that the two artists have worked together, and the result is sun-soaked, disco-infused house music that will certainly serve as the soundtrack for the extended summer evenings that are still to come in 2023.

KC Lights is a label favorite in every sense of the word, but he is most well-known for his smash-hit single ‘Girl‘, which was released in 2020 and was an album that you couldn’t turn off from throughout that summer. This was followed up by his classy cut ‘Cold Light’ the following year with well-known vocalist and songwriter Leo Stannard, who also appeared on KC Lights’ summertime anthem ‘Daydreamer‘.

If there is one thing that KC Lights can do over and over again, it is write tracks that are infectiously catchy and ageless. These records can be found practically anywhere, from underground clubs to radio stations and beyond.

Låpsley, a singer and songwriter who sprang to stardom in 2016 with the release of her debut long-playing album titled “The Long Way Home” on the illustrious label XL Recordings, appears on the record and has garnered widespread critical acclaim for her work. It is impossible to overlook DJ Koze’s enormous disco edit of “Operator,” which catapulted Låpsley into the sky. With a history of massive successes and a voice to match, KC Lights and Låpsley come together on “Better Times,” which offers a preview of a bright summer to come, which we can’t wait to get into already.
