Polish DJ/Producer Luc One releases his new track ‘Shadows‘ via 2-Dutch music’s Musical Madness.
If you are a fan of the melodic progressive house or if you’re a fan of groove house, then this track should definitely be on your playlist. It has a tribal charisma to appeal to any setting, whether it’s for an underground club or for a festival stage. It has a superb breakdown with some uplifting vocals that will touch your heart followed by a drop that will shake you from top to bottom!
We have asked a couple of questions to Luc One to know more about him and the track.
Hi, Luc. We have listened to your previous releases, and it seems that with Shadows you have changed a little bit style, moving from big room sound to something more groovy. Why?
That’s right. I am at a stage where I’m finding my own style & sound. Until now, I was mainly producing Big Room & Progressive House style tracks. However, I felt I wanted to try something a little different as it’s difficult to invent new elements in these styles. With “Shadows”, I tried to blend elements of progressive house & groove styles. I also wanted the song to have a darker climate/atmosphere.
Are you going to continue on this road?
Yes, this type of sound is the direction I would like to take in the coming months. I am working on new tracks that will have groovy rhythm, melodic piano sounds, and some vocals. They will be very catchy and energetic as that’s the type of sound I personally like. I think the audience will like it too.
How was the track born? I mean have you took inspiration from someone or it's just born during a regular studio session?
With the experience I have now, I usually know what I’d like to achieve before I even start producing a new song. The same was with “Shadows”. I spent a long time trying different patterns & rhythms until I came up with the main drop section that I was happy with. It was inspired by some of Musical Madness previous releases, as well as the sounds of Sosumi & Protocol. I then found the vocal which I thought fitted well and, finally, worked on the breakdown section to complement the entire track.
We want to thank Luc for the time taken to answer the questions. You can listen to “Shadows” below
