Legendary DJ and producer Luciano presents two brand new remixes for Lulu Gainsbourg: Opening Remix and L’enfance Remix.
LUCIANO, a five-time winner of the DJ Awards and a ten-time nominee, has put music out on labels like Mental Groove, Perlon, and his own Cadenza. He now combines his artistic talents with multifaceted French composer LULU GAINSBOURG, whose most recent album received two Grammy nominations. And this unique collaboration of two virtuosos spawn two magical and captivating remixes.
The two artists first met in Amsterdam while on one of their numerous travels. The friendly love, at first sight, was such that the two artists decided a year later to collaborate on a remix project: Lulu2.
Two remixes, Opening Remix and L’enfance Remix, were created by Luciano and were taken from Lulu Gainsbourg’s most recent album, Replay. This architect of sound has so generously shared his knowledge of clubs and his experiences in electronic music, that in spite of his classical training and his studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Lulu Gainsbourg wanted to embark on a new challenge: The planet of electro.
These remixes were created with a magical atmosphere and sensational energy, and they will transport you to these two distinct worlds that converge to form one. These two excellent travelers do enjoy using their creations to share their appreciation of various cultures. Between Amsterdam, Switzerland, Ibiza, Chile and the United States, the two artists managed to find each other: they share the same first name and the same deep passion for music
The two “Lucien” are now embarking on a very beautiful journey together, even though they may not have known each other a few years ago given their many similarities.
