Martin Garrix show at Amsterdam Dance Event 2018 | Stage
Number #1 DJ in the world, according to DJ Mag Top 100, Martin Garrix, will host probably the biggest party of the entire Amsterdam Dance Event at Amsterdam RAI and, from what we have seen at the moment, it will be absolutely mind-blowing.
At this point, you may ask why we’re talking about Garrix and what he has to do with The Groove Cartel or the groove crew in general; well, actually not so much if we consider only the musical side but, in this article, we want to dig more into the artistic side of what it may be the biggest non-festival party in Amsterdam during ADE 2018.
It will take place in Amsterdam RAI, as every year, and there will be two shows, one Friday and one Saturday. If we don’t count the Amsterdam Music Festival, Martin Garrix show at RAI is the one with the biggest stage, the biggest visual and the craziest effects of the entire conference.
Last year stage was really impressive; it covered the whole front of the Amsterdam RAI pavilion with a massive led-wall displaying the ➕✖ Garrix logo rotating until reaching the back of Martin in the middle of the stage. With an incalculable number of beams placed, not only in the front stage but also above the dancefloor, the lights effect were absolutely indescribable and how not to mention the incredible amount of pyro and fireworks effects.
Martin Garrix show at Amsterdam RAI has always been one of the most studied stage design, I would say, of the entire dance industry and, from what we have seen only in the last few weeks, this year they want to go further.
During the past days, Lorenzo Depa and Gabe Fraboni, respectively the Visual Director and Show and Creative Director for Martin Garrix, have started posting interesting videos and photos about the upcoming show. The last three videos posted, that clearly display the Amsterdam’s three X logo, show a loading sequence that, in our opinion, could be easily the first opening video for the show.
Moving on, we can see the other two images displaying a glitched effect that, we’re sure it will complete a bigger image in the overall Instagram grid when the image posting will be completed. Jumping into the single images we can spot some interesting preview of the lasers show, the big X led-wall and the visual that will be used during the show.
On top of this article, we have added a playlist of videos taken from Martin Garrix Instagram stories. They show Martin’s team at work for the Amsterdam RAI show and, in a couple of them you can clearly see what it really seems a sort of holographic Garrix’s head; you can also see a sneak peak of the lights and lasers show.
Both Friday and Saturday Garrix’s show are completely sold-out but tickets are still available via the secondary market and we suggest, even if you’re not a big Garrix fan to have a look at this incredible and unique show that will mark history during this year Amsterdam Dance Event.
Below you can find episode 2 of the third season of the Martin Garrix show were Martin and his team show the process behind the show.
