Belgium-based DJ and producer Maxi Meraki makes his debut on Dutch music label ARTWRK with an incredible new single, Way Too Long.

With deep, focused house composting, suave vocals, and pianos striding about the place with a splash of salsa, he’s targeting the Balearic hot spots he’s become accustomed to. While there’s plenty of groove as standard from the Roger Sanchez/Mark Knight-supported spinner – springy bass, a warm blast of synths on a breakdown of calming motivation – Meraki creates an aura and gives the track time and space to explore itself, as per the knowledge-of-self lyrics.

The artist Maxi Meraki

Maxi Meraki, an Antwerp resident, grew up listening to music and began playing records in high-end clubs in Belgium and Amsterdam. A four-hour set at Pacha Destino in Ibiza in the summer of 2018 was a first memorable highlight.

Summer season residencies at the W hotel in Barcelona and Izakaya Ibiza set the tone for a bright summer. A sunny season full of extra gigs: Soho House (Barcelona), Bagatelle (Ibiza), Plage Casanis (Marbella), and the absolute highlight, warming up for Circoloco’s DC10 resident DJ Nathan Barato at Ibiza’s most popular boat party “Pirata’s Ibiza.”

Last year is also dropped a stunning single, Sight on 72 Pixels.
