A breathtaking collection of remixes for Connivence, one of the most recognizable tunes from the label’s first-ever release, are now available from bona fide electronic music superstars OXIA and Nicolas Masseyeff, six years after the founding of their label Diversions Music.
The four-track remix EP is out right now via Diversions Music. It includes official remixes from friends and talented musicians Kiko, Black Circle, and Super Flu, as well as a special 2022 remake by the label heads themselves.
The 2022 Rework of the Original by OXIA and Nicolas Masseyeff comes first. Sweeping chords and an appealing melody add immense scale and a sense of melancholy by overlaying some drab drums and glitchy percussive noises.
The Super Flu Remix follows, which is more driven, with a strong kick bringing the energy down low, while crisp hits and edgy melodies develop in the space above, entrancing the dance floor with a wonderful late-night spell.
The Kiko Remix is a slick bit of melodic techno with slapping hits and nice textural percussion. It entraps you before releasing dark cosmic energy through carefully crafted harmonies and melodies.
Last but not least, Swiss producer Black Circle completely outdoes himself by stretching the song out in all directions and blending lush pianos and blissful pads.
