Today New York City’s premier underground events collective Teksupport has announced Transmoderna featuring an all-night long set by Dixon, taking place at the innovative ArtsDistrict Brooklyn on April 29th. Transmoderna is a hybrid collective that produces virtual exhibitions by fusing current and multimedia art with genre-defying settings from co-founder Dixon.
One of the leading representatives of contemporary electronic music, Dixon has continued to be a key presence in the nexus of music, art, and fashion. The Berlin-based, techno icon is revered for the continued success of his Innervisions label, his own fashion label Together We Dance Alone, and his technology platform Transmoderna, among other ventures.
Founded in 2019, Dixon’s Transmoderna sits at the intersection between electronic music and digital arts, cross-breeding visual technology development with multimedia art and top-tier house & techno selection in order to create mind-bending visual shows. The show’s visual components will be curated by a number of artists and shown on the 360-degree projection system at ArtsDistrict Brooklyn.
The 25,000-square-foot ArtsDistrict Brooklyn has served as a canvas for sensory exploration, forward-thinking inventiveness, and creative experiential curation since its launch in the Summer of 2022 last year. Formerly the House of Vans skatepark, the reclaimed events space bridges its industrial roots with cutting-edge innovation, boasting state-of-the-art 360-degree projection, a revolving stage, and world-class audiovisual technology.
Teksupport, who have recently staged some of the most significant minglings of club culture, high fashion, and technology, is the organizer of Transmoderna’s NYC iteration. For the past decade, Teksupport has distinguished itself in the underground for its skillful integration of expert musical curation and innovative production, making them the premier partner for stateside takeovers from global institutions.
