Due to the high demand for tickets and immediate sell-out of the first weekend, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Crania have announced an additional Sundream Baja weekend. On May 11-14, the Grammy-award-winning band will bring their boutique festival concept back to El Ganzo Sculpture Gardens in San José del Cabo for four days of music programming, wellness activities, art installations, and intimate DJ sessions from some of the band’s closest kin and inspirations.

Sundream Baja second weekend lineup

The immersive, transcendental ethos that has come to be associated with RÜFÜS DU SOL and its global community is reflected in Sundream. The weekend experience will feature RÜFÜS’ ground-breaking live performance and taste-setting DJ set, a picturesque contrast of the two elements that make them one of the most exciting artists in the world. Along with fellow live electronic trio WhoMadeWho (live), Innervisions label boss Dixon, desert house duo Bedouin, and DJ Tennis and Carlita‘s recently launched Astra Club, the group will perform with these guests.

The lineup continues with longtime Rose Avenue collaborator and mix-engineer Cassian, minimal tech heroine Yulia Niko, melodic techno rising star Colyn, and Swedish producer and DJ Jonas Rathsman who will also bring his Modern Tales project to the mix alongside brother Franz Novotny. Weval, a left-of-center experimental techno duo, will round out the lineup, and Jimi Jules, whose ground-breaking song “My City’s On Fire” may have been the perfect representation of Sundream 2022, will make his much anticipated Sundream 2022 debut.

Sundrum El Baja incredible location: El Ganzo Sculpture Gardens

The picturesque El Ganzo Sculpture Gardens are now home to Sundream Baja. This unusual location is less than ten minutes from San Jose del Cabo’s downtown, hidden just behind Los Cabos’ beaches, where the Pacific Ocean meets Baja’s desert gardens. Thousands of cactus, succulents, and palm trees from various deserts throughout the world coexist with a beautiful collection of monumental sculptures by some of Mexico’s most well-known living artists in this enormous 12-acre park. The gardens are designed to honor cactus in all its forms, in the tradition of the indigenous people of Mexico.

Additionally, the festival will host a number of private performances in Crania, its creative hub. Located adjacent to the Sculpture Gardens, Crania is an extreme reclamation project that hosts bespoke events and experiences centered around; art, music, food, sustainability, innovation and creation.

The launch of Sundream Baja comes after RÜFÜS’s Grammy win from earlier this year, two nominations for 2023, and ARIA win in Australia. The band also recently wrapped up the US leg of their Surrender tour, which saw them sell out some of the country’s biggest venues like The Gorge, Red Rocks and LA’s Hollywood Bowl, onwards to a triumphant sold-out homecoming run in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth.
