Russians Pensees & Menual ‘Movement EP’ is nothing but relaxing and soft vibes perfectly mixed with organic environmental sounds.
As every music lover, one of my favorite hobbies is to dig into Soundcloud in search of the undiscovered gem. There’s so much music with low visibilities and poor statistics that you can only imagine. Because the insane amount of “standard” materials you can easily find when you finally find something that stands out from the monotony, it’s always a joy. Today is the case of this wonderful ‘Movement EP’ by Pensees & Menual that I randomly find scrolling the internet.
Composed of 5 records, ‘Movement EP’ can be categorized as ambient-chill house but with the extra touch that makes it unique. As the name suggests, the EP wants to transpose the feeling of the movement through the music. It’s not a case that the cover shows a dark forest environment; it’s the first feeling I’ve personally had while listening to the EP. The mix between soft and melancholic vibes and real-world environmental sounds is something that can’t be described. You can hear a small waterfall, the sound of the blowing wind or bird noise perfectly merged with low-tempo beats and organic percussions.
We worked hard on this little compendium. Step by step, they were moving towards something unusual, going beyond. The perpetual motion of each of us corresponds to some common vision, a vector. I think the music reflects this energy, and you can feel it…
In this collection, each put a piece of himself, his “handwriting”, individuality. And the final work, balancing on contradictions, comes to synthesis, a concentration of all that we tried to convey. – Pensees & Menual

They’re not a duo but, from what ‘Movement EP’ has shown, we can tell they definitely work well together. Pensees & Menual came from the Russian Federation: Rostov-on-Don and Moscow. Pensees has, only 5 days ago, released another single, in the same mood of the ‘Movement EP’.
Both the artists float in this ambient, chill, relax and low-tempo environment, where the outdoor sounds took life with the help of the electronic music. The long and cinematic vibes you’ll find on their music is something I’ve always really loved and, hopefully, you’ll love too.
