In his Thrive Music debut, rising star Ross Quinn teases an upcoming EP and embellishes his upward ascent with the ethereal single The Otherside.
Growing up surrounded by music and drumming on pots and pans since the age of two has shaped the producer’s musical prowess, earning him the title of ‘undeniable talent.’
Ross Quinn’s latest single floats and swoops through earnest melodies and uniquely beautiful vocals, teasing a highly anticipated summer EP. The Otherside is an otherworldly experience that both soothes and stirs with its perfect blend of gentle pop and upbeat electronic instrumentals.
The Yorkshire multi-instrumentalist, who is proficient in drums, keys, guitar, bass, and naturally silky vocals, was first inspired by riotous northern club nights as a teenager, before being influenced by London’s diverse musical landscape as a young adult.
Ross dropped out of a musical production course to work at Gin Factory Studios with DJ heavyweight MJ Cole, where he saw some of the UK’s best come through for sessions, including Sampha, Alunageorge, and Stormzy, before focusing on his own solo project.
Ross Quinn’s promising optimism, masterful production, and versatile skill have captivated the ears of sensations such as ARTBAT, Cristoph, and Tale of Us, as well as media giants such as Line of Best Fit, Wonderland, Complex, Clash, and Neon Music for his popular tracks, Away With Me and So High, alongside Maths Time Joy.
Despite entering the scene in the middle of a pandemic, the producer quickly rose to prominence. His songs received widespread editorial support from Spotify and Apple Music, and his first live show with Elderbrook took place in November 2021, paving the way for the European leg, which begins this April.
