Out now on all streaming platforms, RÜFÜS’s rendition of the cut from Nirvana’s 1991 “Nevermind” album is reimagined with haunting synths and a string quartet, marking the first time the band have incorporated studio musicians on a piece of recorded work. Tyrone Lindqvist of RÜFÜS perfectly captures Kobain’s rough lyricism and vocal timbre with a vocal performance that seems true to the band’s passionate sonics.

The album, Surrender, which served as the soundtrack to their ascent to one of the most renowned electronic groups in the world, received a double Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Single (“On My Knees”) and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album (“Surrender”), rounding off a remarkable victory.
The group will now head to Sundream Baja, a small-scale festival in spring in San José del Cabo, Mexico. The band will perform live and DJ sets with some of the most intriguing electronic music acts in the world over two weekends, May 4–7 and May 11–14, including Tale of Us, Dixon, Michael Bibi, WhoMadeWho, Bedouin, Astra Club (DJ Tennis B2B Carlita), and many more. A wellness program, art exhibits, and surprises are offered in addition to musical performances at the El Ganzo Sculpture Park, a creative haven.
On the way to Sundream, the band will perform live at prestigious venues around Mexico, including Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, Parqué Fundidora in Monterrey, and Akron Stadium Esplanade in Zapopan.
