The highly anticipated collaboration between dance music pioneers Dennis Ferrer and Seth Troxler and electronic breakout combo SHOUSE has debuted on the eve of WMC Miami Music Week in 2023.
“(still) WON’T4GETU” is a complete re-imagining of the 2022 hit, created using un-released recordings from the original sessions, and forged on the edges of club music by a trio of the culture’s most radical forces. It is at once both a twisted deep dance floor odyssey and a masterclass in monastic minimalism.
After playing as the last track at Movement Detroit, Troxler’s Circoloco Sonar performance, and dozens of other sets by all three artists during the Ibiza season and beyond, the track is already a highly sought-after underground jam that has sparked intense emotions. This classic remix is the first in a line of club-oriented collaborations released on Onelove’s Hell Beach label under the “Communitas” moniker from SHOUSE.
When I first met Shouse in Ibiza, through our mutual friend Tyson, at DC 10, we immediately hit off. When they returned from the trip they wrote ‘Won’t Forget You’, and then got in touch and asked me to do a remix based on our experience together in Ibiza. Once I started working on it I knew then it could be a real bomb. I phoned Dennis and said, I think I got something let’s collab. We set up a date for me to fly to New Jersey where he lives.
