SoundCloud Premier monetization toolset will now let you distribute your music on Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Instagram, YouTube, and more for no extra cost.

From a simple music platform to one of the giants of the streaming industry, Soundcloud in the last year has evolved, and it’s evolving without slowing down (fun fact, Soundcloud has recently surpassed 200 M tunes on the platform). From partnerships to the biggest major to their monetization tool now, Soundcloud will let their user distribute their music on other streaming platforms.

“If you can’t beat ’em, befriend them” someone would say and, this is the case. The new tool is still in beta but, this is revolutionary for the music industry online. SoundCloud is the only platform to allow creators to instantly upload original music, connect with fans, distribute worldwide, and monetize–all in one place. And the first to build a distribution tool directly into a music streaming platform.

“Only SoundCloud empowers creators with a unified platform to instantly upload and share, connect with fans in real-time and get paid for their work everywhere–both on SoundCloud and across other leading music services,” said Kerry Trainor, Chief Executive Officer, SoundCloud. “Creators can now spend less time and money jumping between different tools, and more time making music, connecting with fans and growing their careers first on SoundCloud.”

The open beta will be available very soon and, the creators who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate:

  • SoundCloud Pro or Pro Unlimited subscriber
  • Has original music, and owns or controls all applicable rights
  • 18 years old or the age of majority in their country
  • No copyright strikes at the time of enrollment
  • At least 1,000 plays in the past month from countries where SoundCloud listener subscriptions and advertising are available

With such big steps in bringing Soundcloud back to the leading of the streaming industry, we can only be more than happy.

Now, the big step for Soundcloud is to let Creators monetize their music globally (the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, and New Zealand are the only country where the music on SoundCloud is actually monetized).
