This summer, Spotify debuted “track IDs,” a suite of Dance/Electronic playlists co-curated by the world’s leading DJs and Spotify’s editorial team. The playlists provide DJs with a platform to easily share the tracks they would play in their sets, further connecting them with their fans. Today, and on the heels of the first wave of popular playlists, Spotify is unveiling a second round of track IDs with a new roster of the genre’s favorite DJs.

Available now on Spotify, the new “track IDs” are curated by an impressive roster of globally-recognized DJs including ANNA, Boris Brejcha, Deborah de Luca, DJ Marky, DJ Sliink, Ela Minus, Flume, Giorgia Angiuli, Gui Boratto, Jamie xx, Joseph Capriati, Kabza De Small, Kevin Saunderson, Lotic, Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, Michael Bibi, Monika Kruse, Nina Las Vegas, Richie Hawtin, Shygirl, TSHA, VTSS, and &ME. This diverse mix of popular DJs, from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Germany, Italy, South Africa, the UK, and the US, represent and celebrate the global reach of the Dance/Electronic music genre.

During these strange times where we cannot be together on the dancefloor I’m so happy to be able to share the tracks I would be playing for you so you can enjoy it from wherever you are, and imagine we are all connected and dancing as one. I’ve included some of my own productions, a remix I released during quarantine, new releases and also some of my all-time favourites. I hope you enjoy it! – ANNA

I love the concept of ‘track ID’ as I’ve always been a supporter of being fully transparent with the music I play. We have to always remember that DJ culture is based upon many of us playing other people’s music as the base of our creative and professional endeavors and to keep the creative eco-system complete we must help not only spread the music but also the information about who made the tracks we play. This is an important part of how the wonderful electronic music continues to help promote and nurture young talent and keep our scene fresh and vibrant. At this moment during Covid even though many of us aren’t playing as often as we would normally do, music is still being made and played and that’s why even at this time the track ID playlists play an important role in electronic music culture. – Richie Hawtin

Fans of the genre looking to explore more tracks from their favorite DJs can also stream the first wave of “track IDs” from Aluna, Amelie Lens, Black Coffee, Carl Cox, Dixon, DJ BORING, Ellen Allien, Gerd Janson, Green Velvet, Honey Dijon, Jayda G, Jennifer Cardini, Kamma & Masalo, Kelly Lee Owens, Marcel Dettmann, MK, Nina Kraviz, Pan-Pot, SHERELLE, Shy FX, and Todd Terry.

The “track IDs” can be found exclusively on Spotify linked here within the global audio streaming platform’s Dance/Electronic hub, a one-stop-shop for fans of the genre. Beyond the “track IDs,” the hub features ten sub-categories to help listeners best discover the genre, including DJ (housing all DJ-related content as well as all track IDs playlists), House, Techno, Electronica & Chill, Bass, Disco, Trance & Progressive, Mood, and Workout, as well as companion Podcasts.
