Almost a routine at this point, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have completely wiped their Instagram profiles including the profile pic as well.

With the drastic decrease in the popularity of facebook and the increasing of people using Instagram, over the year the pics’ social network has become the marketing focal point of a lot of artists. This use also is given by the fact of the presence of the Instagram stories, a 15 seconds video or photos that disappear after 24 hours. Sneak peek, leaked information, and teasers are commonly delivered via stories.
Another instrument given to the artists to “tease” fans is the chance to completely clean your profile from posts, thanks to the archive option on the social. Over the past months, tons of DJs, singers, and celebrities have used this way of operating to announce, usually, something big.
This is the case of Swedish House Mafia, that have completely wiped their official account before the reunion announcement. The same approach has been used by Steve Angello itself for his latest studio album.
Now, two out of three Swedish House Mafia members have cleaned their Instagram profiles. First Steve Angello and then Sebastian Ingrosso after a day, have completely deleted their posts on Instagram. What about Axwell you may ask. Well, he has just released a brand new tune, a remix for Halsey Graveyard so, it’s unlikely he’s going to wipe his profile in the middle of the promotional campaign.
UPDATE 17.20 CET Swedish House Mafia official Instagram profile has been wiped as well.
Another interesting thing is that Steve Angello changed his profile pic as well, moving to a white background, the opposite of Ingrosso, Axwell, and the main Swedish House Mafia’s profile.
