The Swedish House Mafia have just signed a record deal with Columbia, part of Sony Music Entertainment.

This is for sure a period of big changes for the most famous Swedish trio; first, the reunion show in Miami, then the announcement of a world tour, the change of management and now a new record deal, Swedish House Mafia are planning everything in the smallest details.

Columbia Records, part of Sony Music Entertainment, is home of artists like Calvin Harris, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, The Chainsmoker, Tyler the Creator and more.

Since ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ the Swedish House Mafia released their music under EMI Records, controlled first by Universal Music Group and then, in 2013, by Warner Music. According to Variety, the deal between the Swedish House Mafia and Columbia was signed after “a tense bidding war with Universal Music Group’s Republic Records“.

At the moment, the Swedish House Mafia are hanging out in Los Angels, in the same location seen on the One Last Tour documentary. With the news of the record deal, we are lead to believe that the trio is back at work on new music.

The Swedish House Mafia reunion tour will start this May in the trio’s hometown, Stockholm. It will run all year long touching Mexico City, Ultra Korea and a great number of European Festivals.
