Swedish House Mafia’s members Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso are currently working together in the studio with the reunion tour crew, including Alexander Wessely, Ted Söderberg, and Max Holmstrand.

It’s been more than a year since the last news about the Swedish trio. Their Instagram account has been wiped out, the last posts on Facebook and Twitter go back to the 20th of September, 2019 announcing the winner of the Swedish House Mafia lifetime passes (yes, it was a thing). In the meantime, a global pandemic put on hold the world, and with it, the live music industry and likely the trio’s plans for 2020.

No posts, no photos, no video, not a press release, nothing, until a couple of days ago when members of the Swedish House Mafia team started to share on Instagram they were working altogether in a house/chalet with, what it seems to be, a stunning snowy winter landscape. On the pic, you can see on the left, is tagged Sebastian Ingrosso’s personal Instagram account. The exact location is unknown; someone says it’s Sweden, near Östersund as Hannes Söderlund, Swedish House Mafia and Steve Angello photographer, posted a pic of a far Norway’s landscape, less than a day ago, you can spot circa from that area.

Thins got more interesting when Alexander Wessely started a live stream from his Instagram account, showing pieces of works. Music was played in the background. From the people’s voices heard from the live stream, we are confident to say that all the three members of the Swedish House Mafia were at the studio. You can hear Axwell’s voice at around 0:07, Ingrosso’s one at 0:16, and finally Steve Angello at 0:20.

On the video, you can also hear a sort of melodic breakdown paired with a plucked theme. During the live stream, Wessely has also framed a whiteboard showing the words “CONCEPT” and “ARTWORKS“.

More pictures of the studio surfaced, later on, always on Alexander Wessely’s stories.

Besides the presence of Wessely, other members of the team are with the trio. Ted Söderberg, a Swedish creative artist that has previously worked with Steve Angello himself in 2018, has also posted a couple of short videos when you can hear a sort of teaser/percussive ryhtyhm synchronized with visuals.

Another presence at the site is Max Holmstrand, part of Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune back in 2015.

Alexander Wessely went live on Instagram again the day after showing a bit more in-depth the studio location and the visual concepts. Unfortunately, most of the live stream is basically with no video but you can hear in the background different sounds and music.
