The first hint of a possible remix of Moth To A Flame came out almost three weeks ago when the official Swedish House Mafia profile posted a story about it. Then Chris Lake commented about the remix for a possible release on the next few Fridays. Finally, the time has come and the remix is out now.
Keeping the original vocal loop, the tune introduces itself with a melancholy synth melody. It then evolves into a catchy techy housy tune, with a wide and clean sub-base and a neat beat. The remix flows from a heavy-hitting house-driven drop to melancholic lines on the breakdown. His unique touch, fusing dark and deep elements with buzzing and wobbling sounds make this remix a pure gem and, surely, a dancefloor banger even better than the original.

Moth To A Flame is the latest official collaboration between the Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd. The two artists (four actually) have also collaborated for The Weeknd’s album, Dawn FM. The record is the most streamed inside the album with, at the moment of writing, more than 197 M streams on Spotify alone.
Chris Lake is a legend in the house music field. Having debuted back in the early 2000s’, he become a globally recognized artist with his iconic collaboration with Steve Aoki and Tujamo, Boneless amassing over 122 M streams. In 2018 released Turn Off The Lights that has now reached over 92 M streams. Talking about house music, Chris Lake is the first name it comes to mind.
