After revealing KON’s edit of ‘Heaven’ on their 7” vinyl debut, The Vision return to Defected to release the original, along with remixes from Mousse T. and Nightmares on Wax on their latest output. The blissful original, a funk-laden track vocally-led by Andreya Triana, pairs her soulful tones with lush instrumentation to provide a sublime introduction to The Vision’s work.
The recently established duo is formed of Ben Westbeech & Kon, two experienced producers who have their roots in the British Funk scene; The Vision aims to condense their vast knowledge of the genre into a more Housey vibe, just like the one found in the debuting EP ‘Heaven / Home’.
Up first to remix, legendary German DJ Mousse T. lends his signature disco-infused style to his Disco Shizzle Mix, producing an atmospheric club cut that sounds exactly as you expected to do. Up next, pioneering Leeds native Nightmares On Wax delivers his smooth, jazz-laced remix full of funk-flavored grooves, demonstrating his innate musicality. The vinyl package exclusively features Mousse T.’s E-Funk Mix and the Nightmares on Wax Dub.
