UPPERGROUND drops new “V.A. – Selected J23” Compilation

UPPERGROUND presents the new "V.A. - Selected J23" compilation including tracks from Sasha Carassi, Husa & Zeyada, Losless, Adam Sellouk, and Roman Kyn

With many more UPPERGROUND events coming this year and the label entering 2023 after a sold-out New Year’s gig at Zamna in Tulum, 2023 appears to be a very good year for the Ukrainian artists’ label.

The pair selects 4 very significant tracks that have served as the foundation of their sets over the previous few months for the second installment of the “Selected” series.

Sasha Carassi‘s collaboration with Husa & Zeyada, titled “Bad Wrongs,” is the first track to be released. This is a raw and rasping electronic track, with its passionate and raw vocal cutting through, this is a special track that is going to be featured heavily in many a DJs set over the coming months.

Next up is ‘Deeper’ by French DJ Producer Losless, who combines soundscapes, acid sounds, and a hypnotic-like arrangement that takes you on an emotive and powerful journey. You want to close your eyes while listening to this song because it takes you on a cosmic journey and inspires you to reflect on your life.

After that, Adam Sellouk joins us with his single fittingly titled “Hypno Therapy,” and he doesn’t let us down. A trance-infused sounding melody lead and a strong saw bassline combine to create a tune that is captivating and spiritual. It will undoubtedly become a popular favorite among clubgoers that enjoy having a peaceful and enlightening journey while out clubbing.

Last but not least is Roman Kyn and his most recent work, “Take It.” Before the mysterious synths and thought-provoking singing hits, a pulsing bassline draws you in. The overall effect of this tune is upbeat and feels like a fusion of contemporary music and the early electronic music pioneers’ sound, such as that of New Order and Depeche Mode. It is a motivating piece to close out the second installment of ARTBAT’s “Selected” series.
