Paul C drops 3-track EP ‘Let The Bass Kik’

The EP is Paul C's solo debut on Hot Creations, Jamie Jones and Lee Foss imprint

Paul C returns to Hot Creations with his three-track ‘Let The Bass Kik‘ EP. This is his debut solo release for the label.

For more than two decades, DJ/producer and label owner Paul C has provided superb house music. Most of them have been released via a slew of top-tier imprints while performing at important venues around Europe and beyond.

Having made his Hot Creations debut in 2013 with his buzzing collaboration ‘Get This!‘, with 2015’s follow-up ‘Pinball‘ also proving to be a fan favorite, he now returns with three stunning tracks on his ‘Let The Bass Kik‘ EP.

This EP means a lot to me. I wanted to convey the mood of the 1990s music that accompanied me when I used to go dancing in clubs across Italy from North to South but with a contemporary twist. Feeling is essential to me; it determines whether an idea is okay or not. For ‘Let The Bass Kik’, it happened in an instant. The energy came to me immediately; it was almost as if everything was building itself. On days like these, all you have to do is complete your projects and lock yourself away in the studio. – Paul C.

The title track ‘Let The Bass Kik‘ opens the package, a colorful, energy-charged effort replete with slinking basslines, hooky samples, and sweeping synths. It produces a peak time cut perfect for crowded dance floors. ‘Can U Dance‘ follows, with sweeping electronics and soaring leads. Slick metallic drums accompany the production. Then, ‘Red Green Yellow‘ finishes the evening with crisp percussion arrangements meeting echoing vocals and rich melodies.

The EP is out now via Jamie Jones and Lee Foss‘s imprint, Hot Creations.
