Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Le Youth just delivered his own spin of Dance Yourself Clean’s Upside Down.
An important name in the deep and chill community, Le Youth has become one of the leading artists of this specific music genre. Having debuted in 2013 with Sony Music, he released a series of singles on Homework in 2016. Surpassing the 12 million stream on Me Without You and 15 million on If You’re Leaving, Le Youth has become an institution in the feeling-good house music field. In 2019 debuted on Lane 8‘s famous This Never Happened with Aquiver EP followed by an official remix for Lane 8 the following year. He also released a 6-track LP last year called Waves. The same year has been marked by the debut on Anjunabeats with Gemini/Arizona.
Now, 2021 has seen Le Youth with already a release on active. Earlier this year he has dropped a remix for Dezza and Lauren L’aimant Seattle. Now it’s time for another incredible release, Upside Down.
Original released some weeks ago, the tune starts slowly with a clean and angelic vocal that flows through a neat and well-defined beat. A crossover between deep house and pop-radio vibes, the original mix has been completely renewed in the Le Youth remix. Having injected long and cinematic lines, the original vocal seamless flow thought deep-toned and mysterious lines. The drop’s arpeggio in the iconic Le Youth’s signature sound perfectly encapsulates the mix of trance-inducing vibes and dreamy soundscapes.
