We Are FSTVL has grown steadily over the past ten years, consolidating its position as a premier electronic music festival. It’s where over 1,000 of the globe’s electronic elite have performed and the FSTVL tribe of half a million people has gathered since its inception in 2013.

  • The 2023 lineup includes The Prodigy, Michael Bibi, FISHER, Annie Mac, Carl Cox, Sonny Fodera, Folamour, Joel Corry, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Vintage Culture, Andy C, Interplanetary Criminal, Amelie Lens, John Summit, LF System, Mochakk plus many more
  • Bringing together the best of the best in the electronic scene with stages hosted by Circoloco, Solid Grooves, Trick, XXL, Eastenderz, Abode, Disco Disco, Foreverland, LoveJuice, Dance on Arrival, Boat Club and more
  • The show is celebrating its tenth anniversary as one of the UK’s most successful independent festivals and has moved to a revolutionary date in the festival calendar; August Bank Holiday weekend
  • 8 stages, over 150 artists, 4 huge new arena concepts, mind-bending production, and next-level staging will see the 2023 edition of the festival go above and beyond

Due to the festival’s expansion, it will now run for three days throughout the August Bank Holiday weekend, for two colossal days and three enchanted nights. The festival’s venue, Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster which is affectionately known as ‘the airfield of dreams’, will be transformed into a true rite of passage for the techno and deep house community to mark the biggest chapter yet in We Are FSTVL’s stellar history.

Never ones to rest on their laurels, We Are FSTVL has always pushed the boundaries in terms of bespoke stage structures and production including the behemoth that was Terminal 1, The Maze, The Techno Warehouse, The Perfect Sky, and 2023 promises to take it to the next level. With eight fantastic arenas, four brand-new immersive technology concepts, over 150 of the best electronic musicians, and twice as many arenas as in 2022, this is sure to be the brand’s biggest event ever and a memorable way to round off the summer of 2023.

Expanded to Three Days: We Are FSTVL 2023 Lineup Brings Massive Headliners to the Stage

Electronic legends The Prodigy are returning home to open the performance for the first time. The Prodigy, an Essex native, helped create the sound of hardcore rave music when he first appeared on the British music scene in 1990. The group, which included dancers Keith Flint, Leeroy Thornhill, and wannabe producer Liam Howlett, transformed the contradictory sound of rave music into a major force on the world stage. From berserk techno beats to punk rock, The Prodigy’s sound became a favorite across the globe and their first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart, ‘Firestarter’, remains an absolute anthem. The song was voted #110 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the “200 Best Dancing Tracks of All Time” last year. Dubbed the ‘Kings of Live Techno’ by Music Week, the group has sold an estimated 30 million records and their electrifying live shows continue to sell out arenas across the globe, so We Are FSTVL revelers are in for something special.

Joining Michael Bibi, who founded the well-known record label Solid Grooves, is poised to dominate the “airfield of dreams.” He performed at the We Are FSTVL event five times, including a b3b with Loco Dice and Dennis Cruz in [2022]. Nothing stands in his way of ensuring that his musical contribution keeps the party lively. Bibi’s raw passion for playing and making music, combined with his love for the party scene, has seen him deliver stand-out performances at the likes of Forbidden Forest, Parklife, and Creamfields, as well as his own night at the famous DC10 in Ibiza. We may not be aware of his We Are FSTVL setlist yet, but we can be sure it’s going to be very special.

FISHER, an Australian tech house DJ and producer who rose to stardom in 2019 with his crossover single “Losing It,” joins the lineup. In addition to being nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, “Losing It” immediately topped the club charts in both Australia and the United States. Fans can anticipate FISHER to provide nonstop uplifting sounds during his debut performance at We Are FSTVL.

We Are FSTVL welcomes back Annie Mac, a DJ, broadcaster, and author with international recognition. Often spotted on the largest stages at music festivals throughout the UK and the rest of the world, as well as in the DJ booths of the best clubs in the world, Annie is a prominent figure in the music industry who supports female and LGBTQ+ artists. She has created a far-reaching presence rooted in quality, integrity and the authentic connections that unite us all as loyal fans.

Folamour is bringing his well-known poetic house sound to the airport. With more than 130 shows worldwide and a Boiler Room performance elevating him to one of the most promising musicians of the new generation, 2019 marked the turning point for this French maestro. He immediately gained notoriety. Folamour’s sound, a hybrid of disco and house, has produced relaxed yet upbeat party music sure to get the crowd moving.

Joel Corry, who has spent the previous ten years performing in clubs all across the UK and Europe and is up for multiple BRIT Awards, will also grace the We Are decks with his never-ending floor fillers. 2022 was another blockbuster year in Joel’s career, with a trio of club tracks across leading dance labels which all landed inside the Beatport Top 10, another collaboration with industry heavyweight David Guetta, flagship DJ residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas and the release of his seventh UK Top 20 hit ‘History’ with Becky Hill, which serve as a reminder of Joel’s pedigree as a DJ, producer, and selector.

Huge Names in the Game: Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Amelie Lens, John Summit and More Join We Are FSTVL 2023 Lineup

The King of Ibiza himself, Carl Cox, joins We Are FSTVL for a once-in-a-lifetime live performance for the eighth time. You name it, Carl has done it, never losing sight of his love for performing music, breaking beats, and enjoying life. He is a musical ambassador and a veteran of acid house, a techno champion, a dance music pioneer, and the owner of record labels. At the end of the previous year, Carl was voted number 22 on DJ Mag’s list of the top 100 DJs after pushing his production to a whole new level while performing live. His new live show debuted at Ultra in Miami in 2022 and since then, Carl has said playing live is ‘the future for him’. To see what he has planned for We Are FSTVL 2023, we eagerly await.

One of the major draws in house music, according to Mixmag, is the hometown hero Sonny Fodera. He has sold out tours in the UK and the US as well as summer residencies at venues like Ibiza Rocks. Furthermore, Sonny has performed at important events including Coachella, EDC Vegas, and WMC Miami. His Spotify and Apple Music statistics speak for themselves; with over 50+ million listens, he is one of the most-played performers in the business, and his house rhythms are sure to have people moving again after an incredible set at the show the year before.

Jamie Jones is back on We Are FSTVL as the co-founder of the dance label Hot Creations, the curator of the Paradise event series, and a member of the band Hot Natured. Due to his knowledge and experience, the Welsh DJ has developed his own distinctive sound, which enables him to create sets that juggle a variety of unique, complementing styles to energize and captivate the dancefloor. The last decade has seen Jamie take the White Isle by storm, after launching one of Ibiza’s most popular parties, Paradise, at DC-10. Every set he performs displays his intrinsic love for music, with his head bopping in that recognizable manner. He uses this energy to energize dance floors everywhere he plays, from the main stage of EDC Vegas to the Romanian festival Sunwaves.

Global techno ambassador Marco Carola, one of the most in-demand DJs worldwide for the past 20 years, will return to We Are FSTVL. He will bring his infamously impressive and energetic three-deck style of mixing. Vintage Culture, one of his generation’s most innovative performers in Brazil and worldwide, will be joining him. Describing himself as a ‘vibe connector’, he has the ability to engage with each and every member of the crowd, whether playing to hundreds in a club or thousands at a festival. He prefers to ‘go long’ so he can really dig deep into his collection and loves sunset or sundown sets so he can create those extra special, spine-tingling moments of real musical magic. We are very excited for this one!

Another musician making their We Are debut this year on the XXL Stage is Amelie Lens, an Antwerp local who is at the forefront of the current techno movement. Amelie is a pioneer in the business, running two labels, Lenske and Exhale Records, as well as her own radio show, EXHALE, a rapidly expanding party series. We are eager to see what she has in store for us at We Are FSTVL because she frequently headlines festivals like Awakenings, Sonar, and Timewarp.

Since John Summit has rapidly emerged as the most popular name in dance music globally, it goes without saying that organizers have booked him for their bank holiday bash. His upbeat songs take the stomping grooves of the vintage music from his native Chicago, add a fair dose of melody, and finish the whole thing off with 2020’s studio polish. Summit’s prolific output has resulted in the accumulation of 5 million monthly Spotify listeners, becoming the top-selling artist across all genres of Beatport in 2021, a number one track on US Dance radio with his record ‘Human’ and it doesn’t stop there with his recent announcement of his new label/event brand, ‘OFF THE GRID. He’s now moving up the Beatport chart with his remix of Schak’s “Movin’ All About (Jumpin’),” which is certain to be another certified smash for his lengthy shows.
