The tech house juggernaut keeps on rolling: John Summit, the Brooklyn-bred DJ/producer behind a string of massive dancefloor anthems, has unleashed his latest high-octane offering – the appropriately titled “Eat The Bass.”

Released via his own Darkroom/Experts Only imprint, the new single sees the EDM superstar and label boss at his gritty, groove-laden best. A true club weapon from the first pulsating kick drum, “Eat The Bass” brings enough power to fuel both the twilight warm-up and 5 a.m. after-hours sessions.

The track’s addictive power lies in its gloriously simple but effortlessly effective production. Before the hammering, low-end-loving beats even kick in, an intoxicating spoken word vocal repeats the chorus hook: “I just need to eat the bass, so let me dance.

From there, Summit’s masterful sound design takes centerstage as growling synth refrains and hypnotic percussive motifs steadily layer, whipping ravers into a frenzy. It’s a tried-and-tested main room techno formula, but one that few can execute as compellingly as Summit currently.

The single arrives as the first appetizer from Summit’s highly anticipated debut album. The full-length effort reportedly features a mouth-watering lineup of collaborators including Elderbrook, Tape B, Sub Focus and Of The Trees.

If “Eat The Bass” is the opening salvo, then dance music fans have a serious dancefloor feast to look forward to from one of the scene’s hungriest talents.
